Nope, got it for £24 + £18 P&P. Found it on eBay - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/230836334560

Rather coincidently it is the same colour as my car, however that is irrelevant.

It was so cheap 'cos it is damaged, has a few cracks and paint damage so needs patching up and a respray. Gonna strip it first before handing it to the bodyshop to sort the rest.

Id let the bodyshop strip it 1st. I hate it when a customer tries and preps a part for me to spray to save money.
So far every customer has failed and my stuff has reacted or normal prep was involved at no extra saving.

Did you have to pickup from him? Wondering what parts he had left as I messaged ages ago and the lazy git never got back to me!
I'm after a new rear bumper because I managed to... scrape mine a while back on a low rise wall just after we moved house

Also if he has the skirts etc I might have to have a gander. Espescially if you want to get rid of the Motegi Lip once this one is on? *hint hint* ;)

It is tempting to let them sort it but I've had two negative experiences with this sort of thing. When I first got my Motegi kit back in 2005, it was originally Iceberg Silver Metallic so needed a respray. A few years after this was done, blisters developed in both the front lip and rear skirt. The paint eventually cracked and the original silver paint was then clearly visible. So I believe that they weren't prepped properly. Fast forward to April 2009 when I took both the front lip and rear skirt to another bodyshop for a respray. I specifically asked them to completely strip both down to the bare plastic before respraying. Fast forward another year or so and I discover this had not been done as blisters & cracks had developed, revealing the original silver paint again! However, the paint had cracked on the rear skirt only so that was resprayed during July 2011 during my rusty rear arch saga you may have read about previously. The front lip isn’t too bad as the paint hasn't cracked, it just has smooth blisters / bubbles. If I was keeping it, I would have stripped it and got it resprayed, but I now have a new lip to replace it.

So, if you want a job done properly, do it yourself!

No, I got it delivered by courier - I asked for it to be sent to my parent's address but due to a lack of communication at their end, it was sent to my home address instead while I was at work, so I had to go and collect it from the couriers.

And yes, I know what you mean by them not responding! I messaged them on eBay and got no response so had to phone them. After they emailed me photos of the front lip (showing the damage), I emailed them back asking how much they wanted for it. Again, I got no response so had to phone.

If the original paint was keyed properly then it will never peel or flake.
I'm respraying my car this way. Key it up with 1000 grit then paint.
