A bare h22 with no rods pistons or crank is still pretty heavy, I'd guess 35-40kg

I bought a Clark engine stand, does the job nicely but be aware it's not a easy job to get the engine on and off, it's pretty much a 3 man job.

They weight a fair amount. I bought a cheapo Ebay special and it was fine. Like this one http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Engine-Gearbo ... 2c7db03dcf

Will that be okay for an assembled engine complete from cam to sump?

I have a Clarke 4 wheeled engine stand and although I haven't had my engine on it yet I plan on having a fully built H22 sat on it. I would imagine the three wheeled one would do but my garage floor is quite uneven and I wanted the extra stability.

Yup I had my full engine on there. It was actually was the 3 wheel version. I was able to wheel it about the workshop with no problems.

How did you find the balance of a 3 wheel stand?? I bought a 4 wheeler for extra stability but it's surprising how much the extra 'axle' at the front gets in the way (if you're as clumsy as I am  )

I found it to be fine. The workshop floor was fairly smooth.
