Okay, so although I am young and female, I am the process of starting a business braking and repairing insurance write-offs, but I am need of some workshop tools.

Does anyone know where I can pick these up cheap or have anything I could buy for a reasonable price?

And before anybody panics...I'm not the mechanic. Simply the admin whore and brains of the business :)

nothing wrong with female mechanics ;)
alright buying cheap at the start but a false economy, in the long run better brands eg snap on may seem expensive but they do the job better and you can't break them (or foc replacement). try local auctions. there was a garage down the road from me that got shut down and the whole workshop set up was sold at auction well cheap.

Yeah, I didn't mean crap tools, I meant cheaper than buying directly from snap on. I'll have to look into local auctions. I can find police auctions, and as handy as it is to find somewhere where I can get a nice tv from cheap...they don't do much to help in the way of tools...

Random question as well guys, anybody know roughly how many components are used to make up the average car? As in the amount of parts I can salvage and sell on? I have been told somewhere between 6-10k but this seems a little high for me to take seriously...
