Looking for a 5G Prelude with:
- Excellent bodywork and paint (no rust / dents / peeling / fading / scrapes).
- Low(ish) mileage. Preferably < 70k
- VTI 2.2 engine with Manual gearbox, preferably red top. Preferably not modified in any way.
- Clean interior/ undamaged upholstry
- Good service history, with long MOT and no known mechanical defects
- Original bodywork and wheels.
Not too fussed on colour. Budget up to around £2.5-£3k, but I'd consider stretching that if necessary for an exceptional example.
Ideally located near to Lancs, but I can travel.
Alex.

Good luck with the search. They do come along and sometimes at a bargain price. I just bought a 2000 motegi 2.0 auto for £350 78k no rust

You are about 10 years too late. I used to find this with cars a lot, by the time I could afford them all the good ones had been modified or crashed and the rest were dogs. Any decent ones left had then gone up in value!
If you are patient then I am sure you will find one though, I have rushed in and bought cars before then seen better ones come up within a couple of months afterwards so worth waiting...

I do agree Craig, and it won't necessarily be easy, but they do exist. There was a very low mileage black example on eBay recently (admittedly at nearly £5k), and also an older silver VTI with 55k and just one owner at £2,5k, albeit with a couple of minor scuffs. I just missed both of those unfortunately.
I'm not in a desperate rush, but I thought that this would be a good place to ask. Quite happy to pay a fair price subject to history and condition.
If nothing crops up, then plan B is an Accord or Civic Type R.
In terms of the OP, I'd accept the need to maybe refurb the wheels or address some minor mechanical issues.

Sorted for the moment with
this.
No rush but I'd still be interested in a tidy 2.2 if one crops up.
