3g MOT Failure

My beloved facelift 3g has regrettably failed its M.O.T. today. The parts needed, and unavailable from mainstream distributors are the following items: Front and Rear Track Rod Ends. Rear Upper Suspension Ball Joints. The main issue with some, but not all of these items, appear to be the availability of dust covers / gaitors which were only available from Honda as complete units but are no longer available also. Any good spare/ new items knocking around would be appreciated. :( :( @nafe@wurly

Have you had a good trawl through eBay? I am sure you will get them there.

Thanks Merlin, just about to do that, getting a bit sticky finding 3g stuff nowadays.

Nafe and wurly are usually quite clued up on spares, I'll give them both a shout as well.

TBH, I've not had to look for these bits for my ludes, so I'm not gonna be much help I'm afraid.
I know that suspension parts are becoming difficult though, as you say, because of the trouble that Sam had getting some bits for his 3g a couple of years ago (think he bought the last upper suspension arm bushes that Honda had?)

I just had a look on RockAuto though. They have plenty of tie-rod ends available, but no rear ball joints that I could see.

Entering the Honda part number into eBay is a good way of finding bits

Thanks wurly, thanks Merlin I am trying allcars online as we speak, but no-one is answering, I also found them under the name Delphi as its the same phone no. Will try rockauto now, once I've found their number.

P.S. Don't know the Honda part no. at present.

You would need to double-check that rear balljoint though...

Going on the pic in the listing, that would be a front upper, rather than a rear upper, because the rear upper has the ball joint coming out at right angles backwards, rather than downwards;

Right rear upper = 52391-SF1-003
Left rear upper = 52401-SF1-003
