Hi everyone,
I'm looking to buy a working cupholder in ace condition please.
FYI, my interior colour is 'E'.
Top dollar for a good 'un.
Thanks so much, Si.

Out of interest, what's top dollar for a golden these days? Was £20 a few years a go.
Is yours actually damaged or tatty, or are you just missing the spring clip/hook thingy?

Hi Nathan, actually it's quite embarrassing to share this but last Sunday I spent a most rewarding time following your thread on how to create a clip for the cup holder. After a few attempts and many tiny parts of paper clip flying off onto the floor as I got the length correct, I fitted it and it did as was expected. Looped to the left and then clicked over to the right etc.
What I couldn't work out was why it wasn't springing up. I tell you, I was utterly baffled. What had I done wrong?
Well, I'll tell you what I did wrong was that I hadn't noticed that it was missing the bloody spring!

Berk!
God knows where it's gone and even faffing around with a torch in the cup holder hole yielded ne pas de spring, so that's where I am buddy. The cup holder itself is in great shape but you know me and my anal retentiveness, I just want the damn thing to work. To be frank matey, if someone here said 30 quid, I'd pay it as I do want it. Have you got one Nathan?

What a pain!
I do bud

I actually glanced at it the other day when I popped the bonnet in my silver lude. It's currently say on the passenger seat with the lid up. I can't recall whether the spring works on it or not, but I'm sure it at least has the spring clip that you're missing. If I can I'll see if I can get a few of the clips reproduced at work. If not you can just have mine
