both exhaust o2/lambda sensors for h22

Post by Drax » Tue Nov 24, 2015 9:30 am

this is for a 2.2vtec 4g import if it makes any difference, both of Will's perished as soon as they were removed.

pretty sure one plugs into the cat (now a decat) and one into the downpipe.

cheers.

The cat one is only a temperature sensor, just ground the wire going to it to the chassis. For the O2 sensor, check ebay, quite a few genuine NGK replacements on there.

For the O2 sensor the plug changed male to female or vice versa between OBD1 and OBD2 - so you'll need the right one, or have to get handy with a soldering iron.

Yeah, that's about right. I had to use a lot of heat last time I removed one of these!

@Pushki
you mention in your thread here
http://www.ludegeneration.co.uk/profile ... 12339.html
that The cat’ temperature sensor had to be grounded to trick the dash warning light. - did you do this just by cutting the temp sensor off and adding an end to be able to be bolted to the exhaust shield underneath?
