Yeah i know its a bit of a shot in the dark but you never know....

Im looking for some bolts for the crown gear for a gearbox build.

They are left hand thread M10x20mm Hex Washer Head Bolts look like they are fine pitch metric- need about 10pcs
Honda will want a fortune for them so looking to see if anyone knows a different source of supply or even better if anyone has some lying around;) The Honda ones have a small arrow on the head to show left hand thread direction - might help identify

hey thanks for that

believe it or not ive found some off another gearbox locally :)

funny how some of the bolts had flattened threads (not cross threaded) when removed from the crown - yet others were perfect

Good new! :D

About the bolt threads, i saw this kind of problem on a 3rd gen Prelude gearbox, i believe it was some dirt that was on the thread that cause that, or maybe over torqued damaged bolt ...

thanks for the info :)
it did seem a bit odd that some threads were flatted and some were ok :? the threads in the crown that the bolts came out of looked undamaged. I dont think its due to over torque but i guess a small amount of dirt/oil in the threads along with the twisting action on the gear could over time possibly cause this wear. but its not so much of a worry now that i know its a problem others have seen when building/stripping down their gearboxes ;)
