Help me out guys.

My air con hasn't worked since I got the prelude about 3 years ago. Wasn't a priority but the car's grown on me so much I thought I'd get it looked at. The great news is that there's no leaks :D the bad news is that the clutch on the air-con pump is smoking  . So, new parts being unobtainable, I'm looking for a replacement. It would be great if it was known to be working but would consider unknown (and unseized!) items that I could get reconditioned.

Hello mate,

I have a couple of these for sale, both off low mileage ludes.

Cheers

I'm still looking for the right pump. The part no is 38810P13J03. It's got to be for R12 refrigerant like the original system although it'll be filled with R24.

I've been offered loads of ones marked for refrigerant HFC134a but they're NOT what I'm looking for.

I can't believe there's not one out there that I can get reconditioned.

Thanks for reading.

I’m still looking but am now better informed. ANY pump that’ll fit to a 2.3 engine will work. Apparently they can be flushed so the oil doesn’t emulsify. :D

Anyone???

Cheers

I have one thats marked for R12 - it came off a 1991 BB4 2.2 vtec auto.
It is made by Sanden Corporation.
Think model pt no. is 2087
Part Number HRF090
I was keeping this as good spare for my BB1 so it is complete and in good condition but is untested.
No idea if it fits a 2.3 tho :?
