Hello fellow Lude lovers.
Another year and another part needed to get my beloved 2.0 16 4WS through the MOT.
This time it's the drivers (right hand side) seat belt as the belt webbing itself has started to fray badly at one point.
I've got just over a week left on the current MOT so I'm getting desperate.
Does anyone know where I can find a replacement original part (pretty sure it's part number: PFKL 890128) - new or used but good?
And what about these universal seat belt replacements? Is there one that'll definitely fit a 91 'lude?
Otherwise, I think you gotta measure your own 3-point belt length and go from there but the retracting mechanism and part of the adjoining length is hidden behind the paneling by the rear seats and I'm not sure how to get in there.
If it's the original part I can get away with just needing the belt itself right?
But I gotta replace the whole mechanism if it's a universal yeah??
Congratulations to vtecmec for winning May/June's Lude Of The Month, with his DIY Turbo BB1 build.

Well sir, you certainly have my attention.
Can I just confirm that we are both talking about the front offside/drivers seatbelt for a 1991 2.0 16 4WS ?
Is it just the belt/webbing or the retractor mechanism/buckle etc that you have...?
Assuming the webbing can be swapped over, it's the only part I actually require.
Let me know huh, and if all is well then maybe we can switch to talking details.
My fingers are very crossed!
