I'm after a 4g M2B4 gearbox, or an Accord U2Q7 box with VSS, working 100% with no issues.

Regards

Oooh, an M2B4 with no issues (minor crunch going into 5th) is a very rare thing indeed!

I've found a rebuilt unit, but I'm umming and arring about whether it's worth the change now I've fitted premium tyres. On that note though, a crunch into 5th is an odd place to have such an issue, being so far up the box and therefore normally away from the maximum torque, and I'd be surprised if it's a manufacturing/design fault on the part of Honda too. I wonder if it's a worn selector fork that's the issue, quite often it happens on TTs, where the rod breaks and leaves the box without 2 of its gears.

It's a very common fault on M2B4's (for common, read: 99%).
There's been various theories about bent selector forks and crap syncro rings on this particular box, nothing conclusive that I can recall.

There is a particular prelude box that does suffer from bent selector forks, I forget which one.
