Windscreen

Have been trying to find one after my darling boyfriend cracked mine a few weeks ago.

We have repaired it, but I don't trust them. Really need a new one..

However, I can't find one anywhere! Not on ones people are breaking, or even replacements online! (And autoglass??? They want nearly £500 for a windscreen!)

I do have someone to fit it professionally in the area, just need to know where to get the glass from?

Any ideas?

May be cheaper to pay the excess on insurance and let them source it?

That's gonna have to be last resort. I just wondered if anyone knew of somewhere that would stock the glass?

I doubt you'll find one for cheaper than £400

Wouldnt you possibly pay more for the screen though, than the excess? And it wont affect NCB etc. I know because I did mine about a year ago, just paid the £70 excess and that was it. It wasn't even because it was broken, I was doing some work on the a pillars and also it had been replaced with a blue one, wanted one to match.
Not trying to be awkward BTW! just thought it might be a lot less hassle?

go through the insurance,

the mobile windscreen fitters are falling over themselves to get your business through the insurance.

so take your insurance details to a few, tried national mobile windscreens?

Make sure you get a JDM brown screen though so it matches the rest of the glass, UK cars have a blue tint to them
