I figured out the best puzzle in my situation would be type S pistion H23 rods. So iam looking for a set of used S pistions.
Hopefully someone has them laying arround for an affordable price.

You can also use a8 or atr pistons :)

What size pistons do you need?

Also have you had a good read up on putting atr/type s pistons on h23 rods? The comp ratio is massive and have blow ring lands over in the states even in n/a builds. Also piston speed and rod angle is fairly high.

Standart Size.
I was after a 12+:1 ratio anyway. I really enjoy high comp engines. Iam not sure if i rather run used oem ring or these cheap NRP from htune. Didnt read about broken rings yet. If i use H22 rod+pistion its 12,8:1 wich need headwork. (friend has CNC machine) But would be an alternative if i dont find S pistions.
I run 103 octane. But yeah 12,8 is really much. it will go a little lower with headwork and larger piston/valve "bags" (is that the proper word?) Ive heard that the upper rod bearing on H23 is bad and i rather should use the h22 rods. what i still dont know is if the H23 crank is same quality balanced as the H22.
Thanks for any advice

Google the h22 compression calculator and that should tell you what build variations will give what compression.

My Frankenstein build uses an f22 crank & rods and standard 4g import 10:6:1 h22 pistons and I should get 12:1 compression, plus I'm using those nrp rings
