Thanks for everyone's input on this.
In regards to the centre bore of the disc and the hub, it is vital that these are idential, as the discs will not centralise correctly, this is why people might use hub-centric spaces for wheel with a different centre bore, you cannot rely on the lugs to centralise a disc .

Front brake upgrade
The disc is centralised with the retaining screws. Once it's held in pace with the screws, the wheel clamping on keeps it properly in place. The brake disc takes a different type of load compared to the wheel - the center bore support is not required. Once those 2 little hex screws are screwed in (or banged in with the manual impact driver), the disc wont budge and is centered well. The screws are tapered/machines and always give a positive fitment.

This is one area most dont pay attention to. Radius for OEM wheels, tapered for aftermarket.

i'm talking about the screws that locate the disc to the hub, they have always been straight taper, and they always rust into the disc, hence the manual impact driver needed. Earlier ones tend to be screw heads, later ones tend to be hex drive but that detail isn't important.
But the lug nuts, yes, these are radius for the oem wheels 16 and 17inch, , although the 17inch wheels have much shorter nuts.
