Checked the 4ws codes and it comes up with code 33. This is rear R/L wheel speed sensor so by any chance does anyone have them spare.

If it is the rear sensor, it should also throw an abs code.

A non functioning abs system will throw a 4WS code as the rear sensors run through the abs ecu firstly, even though there might be no issue with your 4ws.

this is exactly the issue i have, faulty ABS causing the same 4WS error to be thrown. in order to fix it, you need to get the ABS error and fix that first, which in turn will hopefully clear the 4WS error.

i haven't fixed mine yet as i think it is the ABS pump - my winter plan it to remove it, rebuilt the ABS pump and then put it back in, or replace with the spare i have.

Oddly, my 4WS worked fine with the ABS not working (code1), it was only when I physically removed the ABS ECU (deleted the system) that I had an issue.

I've since fitted a non-ABS 4WS ecu and rerouted the rear sensor outputs to sort it all out.

My abs is working fine, I have checked and the rear drivers side wheel speed sensor is broken off and not there. No lights on the dash

Does the ABS light come on when your key is in position 2 before you start the car?

ive got a box of 4th gen abs sensors - bits &pieces and some complete ones - ive never tested any of them but i can have a look through and see what there is and if any that might be of use to you
