Hi all!

I found the radio/casette+cd player combo but it turned out it doesn't support a cd changer, only in dash cd-player and equalizer. After I connected the changer smoke came out, they conviniently used the same din8 plug... It's an Alpine S614, I can probably repair it but that's a project for later.

So With that I decided to search for the Radio+dsp combo as it supports Mbus cd-changer. If anyone has one for sale, please let me know :)
Update: I found a DSP Set! :)

I would be interested in the following parts as well:
* OEM Subwoofer assembly and cover (rear seats)
* JDM folding mirrors

For illustration, this picture was found on the internet .

i might have some spare dsp parts ( dsp radio and dsp unit as shown in your pic) but need to replace or fix my dsp install first before i can let anything go. but let me know if you are prepared to wait ;)
it just the dsp unit that has stopped working and i havent had time to see what the problem is.

Sorry for the late reply, it seems I've completely missed your reply :oops:

I found a set :) but I'm interested in what failed in your DSP. Did you repair it in the end? I do have a friend who wants to have the same setup as me, might still be interested!

:)
I still have two sets of dsp (radio&dsp unit) but still to fix the one in my 4th gen. The units light up and work ok but very faint sound coming from speakers. Not sure what the issue is or where to start looking :? could be wiring issue in the car or a problem with both sets of units.....the set in the car worked for many years and was excellent.

Have you tried a completely different radio to rule out wiring issues? I would be surprised if it's an wiring issue with all four speakers though...

From what I have read in the past there are two main components that often fail in the dsp/radio set, The output stages and the "dolby noise reduction chip". I can't remember where I read this unfortunately :( And The unit I got is at a friends place in Thailand so I can't poke around just yet :) I may have to wait a few months before he's visiting the Netherlands again.

Even if it's broken, don't get rid of it. If you really want to get rid of it, I would be happy with a faulty set to try and figure out what the problem is.
