Wanted: 5th Gen 2.2 VTi OEM Complete Exhaust system inc CAT
Hi guys,
I’m need for the complete exhaust system for my 5th Gen as thieves cut out the CAT and also cut the down pipe and centre pipe (B*STARDS!!)
I’m looking for OEM pipes and CAT. These have now been discounted by Honda
I am after;
- Down pipe inc 02 sensor.
- CAT (H22a5 or H22a8)
- Centre pipe
- Back box (not hugely required)
I don’t mind buying parts from different sellers, PM me what you have, will be much appreciated.
Cheers
Arif

Can anyone help or know of a good replacement? None expensive stainless steel type. Really want to keep the car standard.

I think you will struggle to find OEM stuff now - anything that was in stock will have been used up a long time ago. Occasionally you see some OEM stuff on ebay - someone had it in their garage for the last 10 years, or some dealer finds it in the back of a cupboard.
The aftermarket stuff is probably OK for midsection, but the downpipes always look a bit crap / restrictive / poor bends.
Such a bummer this happened to you - cat theft is annoying at the best of times, but more so when original parts aren't available on a classic, and they damage the rest of the system too

Thanks mate. I've luckily got the OEM downpipe but struggling with the CAT and centre pipe. Do you know of anyone who does OEM equivalent?Scott560 wrote: ↑Thu Dec 03, 2020 8:34 amI think you will struggle to find OEM stuff now - anything that was in stock will have been used up a long time ago. I'm sure there were 2 different specs for exhaust depending on whether you had an a5 or a8. I found this out as I got a replacement centre section and the garage had to chop a certain amount off the straight pipe to get it to fit.arif_manji wrote: ↑Thu Dec 03, 2020 6:14 pmThanks mate, i've emailed them as there have more than one type for the same car? Please correct me if I'm wrong though.
EDIT: Just checked on Lings and they have different part numbers for cat, mid pipe and rear box, between a 1998 and 2000 2.2 prelude.

You'll find loads of pattern parts on the usual part aggregator sites or ebay. I bought a cheap cat for my last 5th gen (60 odd quid i think) - passed MOT no problems. Older cars don't suffer from 'type approval' which means cheap cats are OK.arif_manji wrote: ↑Thu Dec 03, 2020 6:13 pmThanks mate.
