cheers guys but i replaced the hub already.was the first thing i done.but problem still there.not as bad as before.but the hub i took off had play in the outer bearing.so im thinking the spindle must be worn somehow and its chewing up wheel bearings.

Are you 💯% sure it's not from suspension? Balljoints or bushings especialy on upper arm? Instead of hrabbing a wheel try to lift the car and grab a suspension and try for any movement. I had similar issue and it was shot polibushes in upper arm. It's really hard to believe that the spindle is to blame. Did you check it while you was changing hub? Was there any visible damage, discolouration?

Don't trust every garage. Unless it's your friendly mechanic you know for ages.

No difference in upper wishbones on 4th gens - abs & non-abs, 4ws & non 4ws all use the same.
In general 5th gen upper wishbones can be used - some 5th gen upper arms have a reinforced plate welded to them to make them stronger and you can use them on 4th gens but normally these ones are more expensive and difficult to find.
