Hi,

I might have just what you need :P

I removed a set of coilovers from my Mk4 2.2 soon after purchase and they've been stored in the garage for the past 6 months. The roads around the north Norfolk coast are pretty bad so I replaced the lowering kit with a set of standard OEM shocks and springs.

The kit lowered my Lude by about 40mm and there's an adjuster on the top of each shock. They had just passed the MOT so should be good to go. Easy enough to fit yourself - allow about an hour per corner.

I don't know what the make is but I'll check that at the weekend when I get back home and send you some photos if you're interested.

Cheers,

Dobbs. :vtec:

Hi, I'm sure the folks here at LG will correct me if I'm wrong, but 30 to 40mm lowering is standard for any uprated suspension kit unless you want to pay many £000's for a height adjustable kit.

Typically the adjusters on the top of.the shocks alter the damping rate and if the springs are mounted on a large screw plate then that adjusts the springing rate.

The kit I've got has.fixed springs which will lower a Lude by around 40mm and has top adjustable dampers.

Let me know if this is still of interest and forgiveness if I've sounded a bit patronizing :)

I'll be back home at the weekend and will upload some photos.and any info I can find ref. the kit.

I too thought that coilovers were springs that mounted over the shock - I'm not sure how height-adjustable suspension works, perhaps some kind folk can enlighten me?

Cheers,
