Hello All! I was hoping you could help a fellow luder and Honda Fanatic with advice?

I'm the owner of a beautiful green 98 BB8 Motegi VTi. Unfortunately and to my lasting shame I've managed to prang it into a tree.

Will post pics when I get home.

Essentially the front drivers side arch has a tree shaped gouge in it and the suspension is a bit all over the show. The inner and outer wing's have been destroyed though the suspension hardpoints are all still in place. The front crossbeam (rad support) is bent out of shape. Exterior panels or obiously trashed but I see this is minor compared to the chassis damage. Good news is the chassis legs are still undamaged and engine still runs beautifully.

A friend of a friend was going to sell me another VTi shell with a gutted interior and damage to rear for only £200 but thats fallen through. I'm now looking for another way to get a lude back in my life. I see these as my options:

1) Try and repair the damage to my car using cut-and-shut techniques to cut out an inner pannel and crossbeam off a scrapcar and weld into mine, replace damaged panels and viola!
Or 2) Buy/find a cheap as chips prelude, repair any damage (if any) using ok parts from mine, swap in my interior/engine/4WS/and other niceties.
OR 3) Break and scrap my prelude loosing the £1675 I paid for it and live in eternal shame.

Can anyone help me out here? Know a prelude going for real cheap? Maybe a 2.0 liter or one with engine or rear end damage that I can repair with BB8's OK rear end.

General advice? Is it worth trying option 1?

This will be a big project but I'm dedicated and I feel like it's my duty to repay my debt to the car gods and bring a prelude back to life from my dead one.

Please help!!

I have a shell with a 2.0 engine on. It was crashed into around 2 weeks ago, its panel damage to the car. It needs a new bonnet, drivers wing and beam thingy across the engine bay. The insurance company wrote it off, there was no damage to the chassis.

There is now no interior, shocks, or lights. The rest of the suspension components are in place, so you can just bolt in orgianal shocks. It needs the dent sorting on the side and a respray down the side, Engine runs mint.

I was offered replacement panels by members on here.

Pics of the damage after the crash:

You can have the shell and engine for £150.

Craig, I'm in Oxford but have a mate with a trailer so could pick up from elsewhere if needed. Have you got any ideas?

@ Rob, Thanks for the help, its a shame about the big dent in rear quarter panel as that cant just be replaced. Did you get a quote on repairing that? Anyone have experience of fixing a squish like that?

It cant be replaced, it would have to be knocked out, filled and then painted. I didn't get any quotes.

Thanks for the replies guys, PM's sent.

Apart from picking up a cheap 5G for restoring I think my only other option is a cheap 3rd of 4th gen and dropping my H22A5 into it. Always loved the 3rd Gens but a 4G readily accepts the H22 as we know.

Anyone got ANY cheap lude for sale? ;)

I've got a 4th Gen BB1 UK car but it needs a respray as it's had a botch arch repair

Complete car minus exhaust also the SRS light won't go off which I think is the SRS Ecu as i've replaced both airbags

Dunno if you'd be interested due to the work needed to the body work
