Someone get out of bed on the wrong side this morning?!

To be fair we have a lot of new members attending this year who haven't been to Japfest previously, so naturally there will be a lot of questions.

Well then either you need to improve the info packs you send out with the tickets, or people need to get someone to read it to them

If you cut it down to it's most basic form...

'Europe's biggest Japanese car show'
Parking in allocated areas.
Location: outside a small town in Wiltshire.
Gates open at 6ish for clubs.
Show starts are 9:30 so they don't like people coming in after this.

It's really not that complex.

You know how roughly long it will take you to get from your house to the circuit because it's 2014 and we have Google Maps.
Expect to be on single carriageway roads once you turn off the main drag.
Expect a queue because it's a big show and there will be on-site speed limits.
There's a 3 hour window for you to get in and get parked, you turn up at the right gate and they point you in the right direction?

Where is the confusion in that?

And I'm honestly not slating your work Gayno, everyone knows you put a lot of effort into this. It's people not using their heads.

I think you have misread the whole situation. The packs I send out do include gate opening times and where we are located. I don't think anyone is questioning this.

The main thing being discussed here is people convoying in with other members, which isn't something I can organise for everyone.

I'll be honest, it does sound like you're slating my work, as you make it sound like no one knows what they are doing and it's my fault.

I'm sorry Gayno, my comment aimed at your prep was meant to be tongue in cheek. I honestly didn't mean for it to come across like I was having a pop at your organisation, I meant to offend everyone else and leave you wondering why people can't get it together.

What I am getting at is you've provided above and beyond to get people there. You've given all the info available in a concise form, all the info needed for people to be able to get it together and arrive in a 3 hour time slot. You didn't need to, you couldn've just organised the purchase of tickets and posted them out.

But you haven't, you've provided all information, yet people still seem to not be able to arrange to arrive at location X at time Y in order to get to Japfest for time Z, what's all this quibbling over "there was queues, there wasn't queues, where do I need to be, what way around does my jumper go mum".

Of course you can't organise for everyone to be out of the door on time.
