The main event is on sunday. So Sat/Sun, Sun/Mon nights sounds reasonable. Do I miss something or we don't need to book 3 nights?
I see it this way.
1 we book for early train/boat on saturday.
2 getting there around 2pm
3 get acomodation, car wash/polish etc.
4 because it's saturday evening we can go clubbing or so. One beer eventualy 7 or 10 - #alcoholfree
5 sunday - big day
6 monday morning pack youre stuff and go back home.
Another thing. IMHO no point to pay extra for hotel if you only going to take a shower and sleep there. But surely I don't wanna sleep with cocroaches
I'm not trying to offend anybody, just my 2p. I wanna go for car meet not nice hotel like holiday. But will stick with your opinion

I have suggested 3 nights due to the distance. Do we really want to drive all the way to Holland for a car show then drive all the way back again? I certainly don't! For me total journey time is around 6 hours driving, so I'd want to have a couple of days there to relax and see the show.
Perhaps if we are going to have everyone wanting to do their own thing, we book our own travels then just meet up on the day at the club stand?

I'd like to do the three nights for the social, I think it would be better if more of us stayed together for drinking sessions/banter, etc.
I plan on staying on the continent for a few days in hostels afterwards anyway, so happy to go with the majority.
TBH I'm surprised more people don't want just basic cheapo accommodation though, at the end of the day it's just a bed and as long as it's warm and dry..........2 pricey nights or 3 cheaper ones, I know which I'd prefer.

Am happy to stick to the original plan, I would like to convoy up with a few cars makes it more fun and to all stay in the same hotel or at least same area.Gayno wrote:I have suggested 3 nights due to the distance.
