sooo, we have to organise our own diggs right? what are we planning then? rent out a big dorm room in a pensione or camping?
Camping would probs be a little more 'fun' from a chilling point of view but a pensione will mean we get to see the local town (as we will all want to go to the pub.)
Or does anyone have a friend/family member local we can kip on the floor???
what kind of fuel costs are we looking at? i was thinking three full tanks there and back (going on a safe 350 miles per tank) depending where about in UK you are. so thats going to be £300 give or take. Then a full tank at least at the ring. Giving a little 'lost' budget each car is looking at £450, again give or take.
how much is the ferry? or is the tunnel better?
what are we thinking the total cost per car will be? £600? then add passengers food and drink etc and split costs between cars? Speaking of which, are we looking at taking members who are not able to bring their car but want the road trip experience? I would be happy to share a space for shared costs..
the sooner we book this kind of stuff the cheaper it all will be and the more fun we can have on track.
I see the polish guys got a car transporter for the vehicles. then i presume they got a budget airline ticket to the local airport? meet the cars there and MAYBE save a shed load of cash? i dont know but they must have done it for a good reason.
thoughts?

I was looking at Ferry cost to over there. We going from Dover right??
Edit: Leaving on the Friday (7th June) and coming back on Sunday night (9th June) from Dover is about £37-£57 one way and then same for the return journey.. That's if you book now as the price might go up afterwards.

I looked into it briefly, the ferry from hull is cheapest for me as Folkestone is over 300 miles away and hull is only 100. The Chunnel is cheaper than the ferry but is further away from the Nürburgring than zeebrugge by 100 miles. So id be saving 600 miles return, however the ferry is overnight. But I don't think I'd drive all the way there in a day via the tunnel anyway. I'd be happy to give someone a lift. I was also thinking of making a week of it, considering I'd be all the way over there, a bit of sightseeing.
The only problem I can foresee is the rock festival that is on there at the same time.

transporter would be better because your not putting the stress on your cars with all the miles and your guarenteed getting there and the dedicated track cars can make it too
