For me its mainly a time issue. I have had such a busy year so haven't had much time for meets or to work on my car.
I also have a dog now so cant get to any overnight / weekend events without having to get someone to look after her. I enjoy Japfest when I have been but as its quite a drive, and very much the same every time, it's not something I can find motivation to do every year. Particularly with the time and dog considerations.

Japfest is pretty close to me, so although im likely to have seen 70% of the stuff on show before, im happy to put up with the ball ache of the preshow traffic because of the company of the club members. The track time was great fun too.
I was all set to got this year but unfortunately i was hospitalised about a week before and wasnt well enough to make it.
I will endeavour to make to to JAE this year but its a long old haul for me.
The one and only meet i attended at lll's place was one of the best car related events i have been to. The atmosphere and company was fantastic. Never felt rushed or forced like the shows can. If i had the land i would offer it in an instant for a national meet.
I like the idea of a trackday meet, but its wether i can afford it at the time is the deciding factor.
Mixing it up with some new events is a good shout though. Maybe hitting some of the non jap exclusive shows for a bit of variety?
