Right then people......HondaFest!!

A fair few of us have expressed an interest in attending this show next year, which will make it LG's first European road trip.

First up, we need to get a list of people who are genuinely interested in attending. Sorry for the highlight, but something like this will require a lot more planning than a regular show here in the UK.

To give rough estimate of cost:
Channel tunnel crossing is currently around £110 return (cost per car, no extra for passengers)
The venue is around 200 miles from Calais, so around 1 and half tanks of fuel (to be conservative) approx £70
Then we will need to add food and accommodation on top of this.

The show itself is for one day only, but given the distance we will need to make a weekend of it

I have added a poll, so if adding your name to the list please vote for your preferred option(s) with regard to days and accommodation. I have gone for 3 nights so we can make the most of the trip, if most would prefer shorter then we can look at options.

Please add you name below if genuinely interested and let's get this sorted early on. The longer we leave to book the tunnel, the more expensive it will be! I booked last minute for Le Mans this year and paid £185 return.

what about Harwich to the Hook?

Cost is roughly the same (£49 each way and that's for only 1 person, jumps up to £70 each way with 2 people), crossing is MUCH longer, many people won't like sea crossings (like me!) and also ferries can be difficult to board in a lowered car.

Since using the tunnel for Le Mans, I won't even bother with the ferry. It's flat entry and crossing is half an hour. Quicker and a damn site more convenient!

I'm definately interested.
Not bothered if camping or hotel.
But my wagon is slammed so need the tunnel
