LG Official - Roadtrip 2017

Post by Gayno » Wed Jan 25, 2017 8:50 pm

So after last year's successful trip to Hondafest in Holland, we'd like to see what you would like to go for this year. Nothing is set in stone, so we are flexible.

We have 3 options at the moment, if you are aware of any other shows/events then let us know.

1) Hondafest - Gorinchem, Holland - 21 May

This is the show we did last year, a one day static show with handling course and braking test.
No camping as a one day show, so will be staying in a Hotel.
Approx 4 hours from Calais
Those of us who went last year agreed the show wasn't brilliant, but the roadtrip/banter made the trip.

2) Honda Euro Meet - Circuit de Clastres, France - 26-27 August

Price to be announced
This is the August bank holiday weekend, so we get Monday off work for free.
Track action and camping (or hotel if you prefer).
Approx 2 hours from Calais

3) North Coast 500 - Scotland - Dates to be decided

500 mile scenic trip around the north of Scotland.
No direct cost - just fuel, hotel and food/drink.
Can take as long or little as we like.
Different hotel every night.
Starting point in Inverness.

I've added a poll for you to vote for which trip(s) you would prefer/can do. Select all if you so wish! Don't worry, a vote isn't a commitment, but please don't vote if you have no intention of coming to any of them!!

When we know what is most popular, we can then start to make plans.

Hondafest clashes with some other stuff I've got planned (it usually does).
France might be a goer.
Scotland looks fun, too, especially if near the beginning of September or October.
