LG official club Events 2018 - Exploring ideas/Poll

Post by wurlycorner » Sat Dec 30, 2017 9:14 pm

Ok, so each year, the club attends a number of events 'officially' (which means we organise a club stand, tickets, convoy there, track time etc).

Normally this is the 'usual suspects' events but in 2016 we tried something new and went to Hondafest in Holland, which was an absolutely epic fun meet. Some of us also go to other events independently, so it's worth reviewing which ones we pick as the official club events.

I've set up a poll to see what events forum members might be interested in us organising as an 'official' club event. This includes the ones that we normally attend, ones we have previously attended and some others we've never attended but I've picked out as potentials (these are in italics).

Massive caveat that it's just an exploratory poll - doesn't guarantee that we will go with the top votes (there are lots of other factors at play like cost, time etc that may swing it the other way for the organisers) and there is no way that we would do all of the events on this list, but... It will help inform things and I thought it would be interesting to sound people out.

You can vote for as many as you like and you can change your vote. Poll runs for 30 days.

Please ONLY vote for an event if you think you are genuinely interested in going (don't just tick everything) and if you don't know anything about the event, please do check out the links I've posted below to find out more before voting - or ask in this thread for feedback from others that have been before.

Note that JAE is on the list, but is a forgone conclusion - we will be attending that regardless, because it's an epic club body lemonade up!

 I spotted a couple of other events, so edited the list to include them...
Didn't realise that in doing so, it would void/clear all previous votes!!!!
Sorry guys
Please do your stuff again :(

Hondafest in holland was a great trip. But the show itself was a bit lame.
HEM in france in august is supposed to be alot better event with a track also. So that gets my vote.

Agreed, weekend was great!

However, with HEM the whole weekend will be the show, whereas HF show was just a day, the other days were chilling out and watching vtecmec in the gym 8-)

I'm going to be in Germany next weekend, so am thinking about the Hondafest meet after all. It would have to be for the Saturday only - a 250M round trip.

Oddly, the Meet web page doesn't give ticket prices for just turning up on the day (it does for Sunday, though).
