Right, that last thread had wandered quite a bit and I'v had a few people ask for clarification on a few points. Please keep this thread for Questions and information directly relating to the organisation of the meet. Cheers


So:

LudeGeneration National meet and drive out 2012.

Date: Saturday 14 -Sunday 15 July 2012

Venue: My yard. 1/2 mile from J12 M5. I have space for cars and people to chill and party.

People are welcome to travel down on friday if need be.

Depending on weather and ground conditions we will either put all the cars in our back field and all the tents down the lane, or, if its still wet, we will put the cars where they will fit on the hard standing and the tents will go on our lawn.

We will collect at my place throughout saturday morning, meeting, greeting etc. When we are all arrived and tents are set up etc we will saddle up and go out for a drive around my local roads. This will last around an hour and ten minutes.
It will involve as many challenging roads and as little contact with towns as possible. I have chosen it for its fantastic views, mix of A,B and C roads and differing road conditions.

I do not expect this to be a fast drive we will be in convoy and moving as fast as the traffic we catch up to is going. This is more about a nice country drive out with picturesque Cotswold villages, cracking views from the hills and some fun roads.
I have attempted to minimise difficult junctions where we would get split up and contact with any towns but there are a couple of points where this might happen. Do not fear, you will all be given a route map and I am looking into getting a few police strength walkitalkies to spread throughout the convoy so at any time we know were everyone is. The route is basically a figure eight so getting lost shouldn't be an issue.

When we get back I will fire up the BBQ and we can all downshift a gear and get comfy. I will have some small speakers outside playing background sounds but a full on party stack is not on the cards.
I will be providing the BBQ and the gas to run the BBQ. I will get some sauces and bread's, I may make a big bowl of potato salad and some punch, I may not. It depends on time.
You will each need to bring foods to cook and eat I am all open to sharing the wealth and mixing it all up but if you bring economy food you will eat that economy food.

Sunday will be recovery, bacon rolls and general chilling. People are welcome to stop as long as they like depending on your travel time.
If anyone wants to stop over till monday morn we will be booking into a great All you can eat Chinese on sunday evening. 'China garden' Whitminster Inn, Whitminster. (on the A38)

Additional costs and donations
After thinking about it my one toilet might not be enough come morning with 20 full BBQ bellies bursting to explode so I am seriously considering hire of a PORTALOO for the weekend. I will also be purchasing a new gas bottle for the BBQ and other bits and bobs (plastic glasses, plates etc etc etc). This lot will come to over £100 for sure.
I will not be asking people directly for money. I will instead be asking for Donations. If everyone throws in a fiver then its all good but I'm not going to force folks. I would prefer, if your skint, you spent it on better sausages and stuff........

I will decide on the toilet situation when I have definate numbers.

In conjunction with this meet Dino has organised a Dyno shootout at a local Scooby specialist.
This will start at 9am I think and finish at 1-2pm. If you have signed up for this you know whats what, otherwise spectators are welcome but the list is now full.

The dyno place is situated 20 miles away up the M5, just off J9.

When this is finished everyone there will come down to my place to get comfy and sorted before we all go out on the drive.

I will be sending out full directions to the venue via PM closer to the time. I will only be sending these out to CONFIRMED guests. I will be doing everything in my power to make sure you have a safe time at my house but you will be at all times responsible for your own safety and your own actions. This is a farming area and dangers are everywhere. Please take care. By Confirming your attendance you are basically saying you will not sue me if you fall off a gate while pissed, OK?

i am happy to contribute to the costs of gas and portaloo.
i am all set and the list of things im bringing is growing. tent, gas stove. ect

i also have great contacts in the fresh meat sector. i have placed an order for 48 cumberland sausages. 16 standard sausages and 100 thick slices of bacon.

so if anyone wants to bring the butter and rolls and beans ect

There will be carwash facilities. IE a hosepipe and some buckets you will need to bring your own washmit and shampoo etc.

@gayno: To get a bulk buy would depend on getting cash before the event and im not into that. Maybe you brizzle types could get together and bring a bundle? Im not too worried about bulk buying though as we will all only eat so much. There is always loads left imo.
