TRACK TIME (New for PUK / LG / LB in 2013)

We say it year after year about securing track time, but it usually gets snapped up quick and we struggle to get numbers on here. However, I notice we have many regular track goers now and at a push can extend our session to some fellow Honda clubs - thinking ATR's, Tegs, etc. So please feel free to ask friends with these models.

To guarantee a club only slot I will need a maximum of 20 cars and the session is to be booked for £660. This works out to be £33 a car if we get the full 20 people. If we struggle for numbers the extra will need to be paid by the remainder if we cannot get any substitutions. I.e. 15 cars only would mean £44 per car. People already paid their £33 will need to cough up another £11.

Any less than 15 and it becomes expensive, so we will likely cancel the dedicated session and ALL MONIES PAID FOR TRACK TIME WILL BE REFUNDED

Sorry to have to put the burden back to the remainder, but there is no other option - I am not paying out of my own pocket and we don't have a backup club kitty to raid.

So to all that put their names down and pay the £33 are agreeing to these terms!

I won't be impressed if people moan and say they did not read all this information properly!

If for some reason it does not go to plan, you can still book individual track sessions at £35 per car. I.e. not a dedicated club session, so you’ll be thrown in with any car on the day. So at least there’s a backup – but only if we get in there quick! So come on guys, get your name down and pay up by the date.

Those who haven’t tracked there car before but are tempted to do so, go for it! I had my first track session at Japfest a few years back with Honda Revolutions. I loved it! My car was fairly standard at that point, even OEM suspension setup and awful brakes. But it’s still good fun. Trust me you’ll want to have another go!

WHO AND HOW DO I PAY?

You pay little ole me!

I'm sure most people know me on both forums having been around a few years now and have organised Japshow and JAE stands the past 2 years. You can put your full confidence in me.

Three options:

Paypal
This is the preferred payment option if you can. As I have offered to arrange this show stand for both forums, I have offered to use my Paypal account as the main source as most on here use this facility. It is fairly quick give or take transferring the money out to make the payment to Japfest:

Paypal address: adam (at) gayne.co.uk

PLEASE MAKE THE PAYMENT MARKED AS A GIFT SO PAYPAL DO NOT DEDUCT FEES AND MAKE ME FALL SHORT. ALSO, DON'T FORGET TO INCLUDE YOUR FORUM USERNAME IN THE COMMENTS BOX SO I CAN KEEP TRACK OF PAYMENTS

Bank Transfer
This is the simplest and direct option to pay. I'm more than happy to use this method if people want to - it may be the best option for the ones that can't pay till the last minute.
Please PM me for details to complete transaction.

Cheque
Good old safe cheque - however time wise it is not ideal to have to wait for the money to clear with such a tight deadline. I will accept cheques in the post to the address above but please if you choose this method can I ask these be sent earlier than the 1st March to give me time to get to the bank and the cheque to have 3-5 working days to clear.

4) WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?

Once you've paid, can I ask you to PM me the following details:

Username
Full Name
Mobile
Address
Date Payment Sent

This won't be posted on the forum, just for my records to send tickets out, chase people and get ahold of each other on the day.

PLEASE DO NOT SEND PAYMENT YET, AS I AM AWAITING CONFIRMATION OF ENTRY TICKET PRICES. THAT WAY YOU CAN MAKE A SINGLE PAYMENT FOR BOTH AMOUNTS

RE the remainder being paid etc.

Aren't the donations to LG not for hosting of the forum and whatnot? I'm not suggesting that the club kitty be used to pay for everything, just maybe an upper limit can be set or something for help with making up the rest of the fees if there aren't quite enough people.

I don't know how it all works, just a small thought I had; perhaps the admin can shed some light on this.

We can't ask the club kitty to stump up the (upto) £165 to pay for 15 of us to thrash around a track though.

These are the terms used in previous years.

TBH I'd much rather see club funds go to buying a marquee, or repairing the old one if its salvagable.

Anyway, this is for Track Time discussion only, so lets keep on topic. :)

could i suggest that if people pay and don't send as a gift that they pay the fee that would be incurred so you don't have a shortfall. a simple pm to them so they can pay the rest. :D

Yes. Yes. And Ihope not Nitin's cheesy one. You can hire them on the day if you don't have one/any. Just ask when you go to your briefing.

The large marquee looked alright at Japshow. I'll bring my decent pop up gazebo again. :D

@nucleustylzlude - Japshow was Ratty's ChipsAway gazebo, with LLL's Gazebo tagged on the end! Sam is referring to the large 8m x 4m marquee we had at JAE, which we loaned from JPOC. Ammo does have the PUK mansion which is the same, but last I heard it got bent a lot!!

Anyway, this is off track now!

We currently have 6 people signed up, that makes it £110 each :D
