No problem, might be a limited colour palette though...Donald wrote:Each LoTM winner should get their car painted by bennyboy using his bodily fluids.

um,.. maybe back on a serious topic before it goes totally playschool
1, Once a year a page showing donations made and available funds. Not who paid what, just the numbers. Also what cost's need to come out of that if any? (net space? domain? servers?etc? dont know the score re that)
2, Voted for list of ''Things club funds can be spent on'' that we all agree are things we can ask for cash to help toward.
3, Designated ''Area organisers''. one or two people per area who are responsible for collating and organising that areas events and gatherings.
4, A meet between Scottish and English members. Just once.
5, A pack with agreed content at an agreed price containing a key ring, t shirt hoody and sticker etc.

Seems we are two groups that never meet. the polish guys at the nurburg ring were shocked and suprised that we NEVER have a real national meet. Why? they said.... too bloody far I said and they laughed. seems distance is not a real reason when you look at the travel some people make just for one day meets. This is my thinking behind my belief we are not going to ever be a ''strong vibrant car club'' because none of us can be arsed enough

I've had all sorts of issues past year or so, that's stopped me coming to meets

You all know my views
1) Membership) No
2) Club merchandise) Yes but not on a group buy basis
3) Member donations) Yes a sticky in the new members section and a notification on the sign up page and on the confirmation email that they can donate to the club for upkeep.
4) Group buys) Yes BUT all to be done through the club so the club has the rights to branded items or best prices from suppliers so what little profit made for selling to members goes to club for everyones benefit.
5) Club premises/ lockup/garage space) Yes where groups can tip up to finish or complete work.
6) Club newsletter/ magazine / calendar) Yes sometimes people don't get on the website for whatever reason a monthly or 3 monthly newsletter going out with whats going on and gossip may re enliven peoples enthusiasm and get them posting again.
7) Club equipment that can be used by all passed around maybe subject to a deposit being paid ? things like I have an engine crane I wouldn't mind it being used by others as long as looked after.
I am sure there is more but I think that's enough for now

I'm with you 100% upto 4. after that I think you will run into massive issues really fast.
5, who signs the contract? and makes sure the rent is paid every month? I would want it to be in the south west please. somewhere around gloucester would be good.
6, If they cant be bothered to log on they wont be bothered to open and read a newsletter imho. And what is going to be in it? Newkids latest rage written out?
It's asking a bit too much from such a loose collective imo.
7, 'looked after' is a very open meaning to many many different people. Kit would go missing and members would get annoyed.
