Quoting replies - functionality loss

One the old forum you could highlight just a section of the OP, hit 'quote' and it would drag only the highlighted part of the message through to the quote window, not the complete OP.
That functionality has been lost in the upgrade and it pulls through the full OP regardless (so you then have to hack it about after the event).
I assume this was previously one of the wonderful hacks that you guys did to improve the standard functionality?
Can you bring it back?

Mmm, I hadn't even noticed that had gone! I'll see what options we have to get it back.

FCF doesn't have it either tbf - standard forum functionality - and it drives me up the wall
