Re: Skyrockets black 97 5th gen vti
Have had a rough couple of months lude wise
broke two of my rims somehow
snapped clean across the spoke...front and a rear...
would get them welded but theyre magnesium and not sure it would be cost effective.
so i resorted to the oe sawblades as my autostradas are no where near ready.
so got all the tyres swapped over from the ssrs to the sawblades at a local tyre place.
next day went to work only to find it was wobble oclock.
went to a 'better' tyre place who re balanced all for wheels to perfect 0-0 (they were all out) but in doing so found my rear passenger wheel to be slightly buckled, and my drivers front upper ball joint need replacing.
By this time id had enough, id been thinking about it for a while...decided to loose the lude. stripped all the stereo out...dug out all the documents and hit the auto trader
found a nice hairdressers car (golf cab) and a deal was done.....went to pick it up last sunday and had a final blast in the lude for old times sake on the way there. was i making the right decision??
anyway to cut a long story short....the lude is still on the drive and ive had a change of heart.
cash is tight atm due to a house purchase, a new job that pays less (but will end up better) and double the commute, my insurance has also gone up (due to house move) so its grass roots luding.
ive decided to fix all the nagging little problems, brakes, balljoint, horn, interior light etc then i should be in a better place financially and can crack on with refurbin my new wheels that ive had for almost a year now sat in the shed!
