OMG, sad news, mate, shame to see a perfectly good 3g bite the dust, you may be lucky with regards the insurance, I suffered a rear end shunt not too many years ago needing a new rear bumper, 800 quids worth, but the insurer stumped up. I dearly hope you get to keep her, and use her as a basis for a rebuild. I you do decide to re-build her as a standard auto, I know now the best place to get a replacement rad!! All the rust has probably come from the coolant spilt on impact. Hope you're O.K.

Buy it back and fix it, it doesn't look too bad at all

Or you could buy it back and get it fixed yourself? Not many red ones left! :(

I agree with ammo and curly, buy it back and either repair it yourself or break it for bits, option one best

Difficult for me to say how much it will cost for the auto-manual conversion, because although I'm getting it done, mine will also be incorporating an engine change + all the other shizzle that goes with that. A lot of work.

Plus, I haven't agreed a total price with @tramroadmotors yet.

I'm expecting it will cost me around £1K +/- £?, depending on how smooth the job goes.

You might expect a straightforward 'same engine' auto-manual conversion to cost £550/£650 for the labour + the parts you need, i.e. bumper, radiator, bonnet, gearshift cables, gear shifter, gearbox, ECU, pedals, etc.

And possibly more ££'s to straighten out any bodywork that's been bent out of shape. :?

Really difficult for me to speculate though, because I'm not a mechanic. Best call in the professionals..

Dr. Phil, what's your prognosis?
