Also the weekend just gone me and the wife headed over to meet our friends @ludeswamp and @ludealicious from Puk originally and facebook. We have known them for years but never met. The weekend was full of working on cars then a meet with HJC Hampshire jap cars.

Me and the wife had such an amazing time away :) was great to finally meet our friends and meet and make new friends too :) one of which is on here to I believe @wide2k Wayne is also a wizard with body work items and detailing :)

Once again thanks for an amazing weekend.

So what did we do to the cars.
Well first up was swapping over my standard exhaust manifold for my freshly repaired Megan item.
This was repaired by @106pete who did a fantastic job :10:

Didn't really take many photos of the fitting of this :? But there are pics on here of it. Here's one fitted :)
Image

The main job was to fit my new front brake conversion  which I don't think is that common. I originally bought this from @106pete the kit is ep3 R calipers and 300mm discs. The calipers I bought had the embossed type r logo. Since ludeswamp wanted these for his, and I didn't want the whole "but it's not a type r though" speeches we did a swap over as he had standard calipers on his ep3.

I can really tell the difference in the brakes it stops much better now. Plus the ep3 calipers are nearly half the sized and weight of the Preludes :D

Some photos from the car day :) mine is the Lude. Ep3 is @ludeswamp and @pinklady has the Corrola T Sport :)

Cheers guys :) hopefully soon :)

Cheers @drax it's a good conversion so simple! Don't know why more people do it. All you have to do is re drill the discs, the calipers and carries are straight bolt on swap

Will be changing the pads and discs shortly to uprated ones. Wanted to get them for that weekend but ran out of money for the week lol.

Well guys, I had a rolling road done today at circuit motors next to castle Combe.
I met Paul who is very friendly and seems to know his stuff.

Bit of background on the car as I don't think I've said. It's a jdm unit and Ecu. Ebay induction kit, Megan racing manifold. Decated, mongoose cat back. Plus original sleepy copy spoon chip.

The reason I had the road done is since fitting the chip the car is absolutely dead! Before Vtec then it pulls like mad.
I have a problem with the knock sensor, I'm trying to trace the wiring but I can see what colours they are, and have no idea the route it take to the Ecu. So since it's not working the timing won't be being changed. I thought this would show on the results.

Well the results... Made 192bhp which is down on standard.:/

So I'm thinking maybe the chip I fitted is not so good? Maybe it's retarded the timing in the low range so the vtec crossover feels violent. Making you think it's faster? False economy?
Thinking of getting a new version chip from @nucleustylzlude

To be fair only being 5 down on standard isn't that bad with the small mods you have done.

That line does look awfully wiggly though :?

I thought they were supposed to 200 standard. He showed me some graphs from different Ludes and all of them were 200+
I've read things about Ludes with same mods making 215bhp so I guess I'm abit disappointed. But need to sort out why it's so flat before 4800k
