just unbolt it and remove whatever that is thats covering the light you can get filters to cover it and wire it up as it should be so it comes on with the headlights as a prelude light

That would be either a high level brake light or a light up prelude emblem.
choices are to either get another light and re-wire it in (I retrofitted the high level light into my car)
or
Remove it all and get a plain roof lining
Phantom Grey Pearl?! This car just gets bettermercutio wrote:just unbolt it and remove whatever that is thats covering the light you can get filters to cover it and wire it up as it should be so it comes on with the headlights as a prelude light

Oh right I didn't realise the Prelude text lights were supposed to come on with side lights. I'll go have a look

Very nice!!
I had a play around with coloured transparencies when I was going to fit a high-level 'Prelude' light.
I didn't fit it in the end and gave it all away.
If you decide to get rid of it completely, you'll need to replace the rear part of the roof lining.
These are probably quite easy to get hold of.

Re: Josh's BB4
Those look great
I'd really like one in red, is there a filter inside that needs swapping?? I took mine apart earlier, all the crumbly stuff came off fairly easy, just needs a quick polish and should be perfect
somebody has had a go at doing their own wiring though!

I'm guessing the grey connector is a feed from the brakelight circuit, and the other two feeds are from the tail lights. Neither causes the prelude light to turn on though, so need to investigate a bit further. And before anyone asks I checked the bulbs
Next on my list of things to look at is what I'm guessing are the corner lights? They don't work at any rate, and popping them out revealed the connector wiring had been cut. I'm going to reconnect it next weekend and see if anything happens.
I also took a decent shot of the alloys

I wasn't a big fan to start with, but they're really growing on me. Those narrow spokes would be perfect for showing off drilled disks and red callipers
what do you guys think?

Wish I could afford coilovers, I'm supposed to be buying furniture for the new house I'm moving into though. Going well so far - items of furniture bought: 0, cars bought: 1

Re: Josh's BB4
Right, time for an update
After being misinformed about making a SORN application, and thinking I accidentally voided my tax and had to wait 21 days for a refund, I had a bit of a result! DVLA inform me today they didn't action my SORN as I wasn't the registered keeper. I was then informed they had just made me the registered keeper, the tax was valid and I was good to go
bought insurance today, £2,100 from Direct Line. I'm not too annoyed at that price considering I didn't use any no claims, I'm 21 and I have a penis.
Anyhow, went for a spin with my girlfriend this eve, god I love that car so much
took a couple of photos at the beach too, one of my two main haunts for photographing my cars

I'm actually looking forward to my commute tomorrow
Starting to get a to do list too:
•fit import size front plate so people know I'm special
•wire in 'Prelude' light
•wire up corner lights
•figure out why radio is no longer making any noise (please don't say turn it up
)
Should keep me occupied over the long weekend
