Hey all.

Bit of an update - I had the exhaust done at the weekend. It is only temporary until the turbo conversion next year.

While I was at the yard, I was inspecting this...H22a vast turbo manifold with T3/T4 oil cooled turbo. This is currently on a Mini but I will be having the same set up, with external wastegate and still weighing up my options on engine management. Most likely AEM, OMEX, Hondata or Emerald.

A few pics of what were at the yard.

This Merc had a full respray and is having the engine fully rebuilt with brand new crank and loads of OEM goodies.

The plans over the next few weeks are...

1. repaint rocker cover
2. Full detail
3. do something with the lights

time will tell...

A little update.

After having to use a piece of wire in a layby to reset the 4ws, I decided to do what I did with my old Celicas.

I fitted a switch to easily go into diagnostic mode - but rather that installing the switch on the dash, I just kept it where the blue plug is so it does not accidentally get switched on.

Here are some pics

Thanks guys - Enjoy.

I have a few mods in store.

1. I have got the money together for the wheels to be sanded down and repainted. My mate can do any colour. Currently we have said Satin Black so the car will be quite stealthy.

2. I will paint the rocker cover at some point - definitely on the agenda.

3. I have a pair of VIBE components now, but just waiting to do a few Audio / Hands Free install jobs which will pay for a decent 4 channel amp.

4. I will be installing an eBay special alarm at some point as I only have one key fob. I will keep the car's immobiliser and I will not be installing remote start.

5. I am waiting for a member on here's pics on the boot struts.

6. More importantly, I am almost there saving for my daughter's Christening and 1st birthday party, so I will start buying turbo parts from the Autumn and the car should be turbo'd and mapped by next summer.

I will update as and when.

Hey all.

I have made progress - ish.
Alarm fully installed now. Cental locking, pager and optional channels all work ok.

Today, I changed the battery terminals and routed the power cable into the cabin for my amp installation.

Over the next few days, these are the jobs I have to finish.

1. Install JDM indicator stalks.
2. Install new VIBE Slick 6 components. These speakers have smaller magnets and are shallower than the previous SR60s. I have no time or patience to fully modify the doors so hopefully these will work ok.
3. Install 4 channel amplifier.
4. Replace my Pioneer Bluetooth headunit with a double din DVD player.
5. Tidy up the car and drive it for the first time in almost 2 months.

Well, the rain has not helped matters today but I managed to run the RCA's, Earth and remote wire. Also the amp fits perfectly under the driver's seat.

I will see how far I get tomorrow - sorry no pics as yet.

Hey all.

I have been working in the rain or had small windows of free time in clear weather so did not take many pics.

1. Amp is wired up under the driver's seat. New earth for the Head Unit run from the same point as the amp earth to cut interferance.

Between driver's seat and middle console. RCA cables.
Image

Between driver's seat and sill. Power and speaker cables. 2 pairs back to the front for the front speakers and one to the boot for a sub woofer.

After a quick wash after 2 months sat on the drive.

I removed the Pioneer HU from the Prelude and installed into the Civic as I use that more as a daily. I intend to fit another double din into the Prelude but for now, I have installed a cheap DVD player that a customer did not want. I just paid car insurance and put money aside for rusty arches and wheel paint so HU has to wait a couple of months. It is not a great fitment but the radio is great, controls iPod and has Sat Nav.

Image

Next plans.
1. The JDM stalks accepted the UK plugs, but some pins need to be swapped over. I am on the hunt for pigtails from a JDM loom.

2. Still issues with the VIBE slick 6 components. I have managed to find a pair of speakers that are 158mm wide. They are made by JVC so we will see how I get on with them - then I can delete the rear 6 x 9's.
3. I have a tilting JDM number plate holder on order from eBay so will fit that at the weekend.
4. Do the big 3 power and earth leads.

There are a few more small jobs like rocker cover and wheel / brake painting but will do them when I get the opportunity.
