sadly not cams - i WISH i had the money for them :( but a JUN baffled sump, found on a FB Honda parts page by a mate, was very chuffed! pics to follow shortly along with a new plan.

Given up trying to edit the best of around 9 films taken from the track day at OP recently, kept going terrible quality and unwatchable so ive just bunged the largest one onto youtube - nothing deadly exiting im afriad, the camera position wasnt good and most of the cars that day were feckin quick! but if you look carefully you see a Clio crash on the 2nd corner as soon as big Andy (and yeh he's a biiiig guy as you can see lol) an i go out. The view out of the window improves after we go out a 2nd time later in the film and for even later on when Ellen is driving instead with another mate.

And no wonder all the other cars were so quick... Look at the size of big Andy!!! :o

Nice find on the sump :) Can't be many of those about... Seeing as they're so ridiculously overpriced lol.

New Engine Build

ive been gathering parts for a replacement engine build for around 6 months now since i first bought the Skunk2 cams, and now im near to getting most of the parts i need plus i had a great brucie bargin that contained a type s 11.0:1 compression 5g engine, loom, crane and engine mount and now want to get cracking (gromit) on testing, building, painting etc.

Image

The plan is to check the block over to see if it and the pistons are in good nick, plus probably chuck the head that came with it back on quickly and do a compression test. i may put on new bearings and seals while its so stripped down, and when the balance shaft delete kit is ordered then get that done too.

The head can also be built with the new sk2 valves and retainers then the cams put in, and once the uprated tb comes with the balance delete kit i shall get in inlet port matched to suit. I did buy some injectors too but they never turned up  so im on the lookout for Evo 440 ones or something else that may suit.

The Hondata and uprated fuel pump are already installed and running so that saves a job later on, so when the engine is built i will be spraying it Blue i think, a kind of Ford Escort amparo blue is the thought so far.

With the intake, i bought a CDA cone ages ago but only moved the battery to the boot a few months ago so that can soon go it as well, plus i loved the idea of STK Prelude's side duct so bought a cf one of my own to (hopefully) fit in the front bumper at the side.... could be a squeese! lol

any ideas, comments, thoughts, suggestions, please say as i shall need a lot of help with this

list so far:
Image

SKUNK2 Stage2 tuner camshafts, Valves & Retainers
Type S block with 11.0:1 compression
Skunk2 adjustable Camgears
K&N Crankcase Oil Breather Filter
CDA aircone
Carbon Fibre side inlet
ATR Intake Manifold
ATR Head with mild port and polish
JUN baffled sump
Oil sandwich plate for temp & pressure sensors
Carbon Fibre plug cover

ignore the Samco hosing, it was a freebie but i think the sizes will not be big enough as their from a K series build.

I also have a new head gasket and sump gasket, will need an inlet mani gasket sometime too as well as EGR & IACV blanking plates when the delete kit and tb are ordered in. Not sure whether to bother with an oil catch can, fuel rail and a few others items but ill do some more research on other lude builds here and find out what people are doing.
