Oh also i did 5 coats of base coat and it took 3.5 litres of paint. I went on heavy.
On the pearl coat i did 4 coats plus one controlled final light orientation drop coat and that took 3 litres of paint if even that.

I used 3 litres of clearcoat with some spare.

Love it mate, you have come a long way with that car and it looks awesome, if you have any spare paint would you want to sell it on as I will be needing some for when i get mine sorted out

Been busy all week. Wetsanding is a long drawn out process.

Anyway its all finished. Kind of.

Denibbing with 800 grit on a bottle cork. You can see how many in this photo.

Difficult to see because the finish out of the gun was so flat but before and after
BEFORE
Image

AFTER
Image

Flat enough

Put some Bilt Hamber Dynax UC around the spoiler holes to help stop the spoiler rubbing and casuing rust again.
Image

So the wetsanding was
- Denib with 800
- 1200 wet on a block
- 1200 wet by hand
- 1500 3m fine finishing discs on a 6" DA
- 2000 Abralon wet on a DA
- 4000 Abralon wet on a DA
- 3m Perfect it Fast Cut + on the Green pad

All i have to do now is polish the whole car again to remove the swirl marks the green pad put in.
Unfotunately the 3m extra fine yellow and the yellow pad wont cut it.
Iv found the yellow pad with the fast cut + to be the best on new paint for removing the swirl marks and leavign a completely swirl/hologram free finish using the Zenith technique.
Will do that on friday before Japfest and finis wax the front bumpers as they were sprayed last year and are gasses out now.

Si- Got loads of spare paint. I had an issue with it. It kept cluming together for some reason. Also not sure if it will be the same varient as yours.

im sure it will be somewhere close ratty, i think the bumpers on mine are slightly different shade, but I will be getting the n/s quarter repaired on mine and a bit on the door so probably a full side respray, i am also thinking of parting with the carbon bonnet and carbon boot spoiler, after seeing yours i really do think mine needs restoring to somewhere near its former glory
