Just got black from PAW.

8-)

On the to do list was
- Install my Innovative engine mounts
- Install my Genuine Hytech Header, custom PAW 2.5" mid section to replace my damaged 2.25" mugen and fit it to a modifyed Mugen twin loop rear.

Rich said Hytech headers are H22 racist headers (not his exact words) and dont fit direct.

Here are some Pics Rich has taken of his work.

Basically the Hytech was heavily modifyed to angle it better and clear ATTS gubbins.
He put a donut flange on my 106pete decat and OEM decat for direct swap.
2.5" custom mid section and changed the mugen twin loop to 2.5" before the back box.
Welded and cut the subframe to clear the hytech, remove the flywheel casing as it no longer clears and heat protect the alt as its a close shave.

Biggest immediate difference and im not sure if its good is the engine mounts. They are bloody bone shaking at idle and below 2k off throttle.
The whole cabin vibrates and i can feel everything the engine does. There is a noticable urgency in response though which is great. Not sure if the mounts need running in.

I then drove off to heat the engine up and see what the new exhaust feels like at normal speeds.
Absolute no hesitation or flat spots and very smooth. The Mugen is soo quiet off throttle and at cruising speeds. Nice growl on throttle. Much more torque.

Then onto full throttle and VTEC.

Wait

Wheres the VTEC pull.

The Hytech has free'd up sooo much power and torque below VTEC that the crossover is so smooth.
The power curve is so smooth and even. And pulls alot stronger up high.

Its alot faster but its the way the power is delivered thats the biggest difference.

Plus the whole system sounds lush at WOT. I love the sound. The exhaust has its own induction noise so to speak.

I love it. Engine mounts need getting used to. ANyone at Japshow can take a feel. I think i went for 72a rating.

No need to use the vibrator now then

Exhaust looks really nice.

One question! you know all those heat shield underneath the car, are they all necessary?

Zorst and Hytech look epic. although a smoother power delivery is better on so many fronts do you think youll miss the VTEC kick?
