Re: BsBB1 - New plans...

Post by bennyboy » Thu Jan 24, 2013 12:58 pm

Plans have changed, I'm going to break it :(

Yeah, whatever

Plans are thus:

Whip out the VAFC2 now it's surplus and flog it.
Change the stereo setup.
Clean up the rad brackets and plug cover
Install chrome handles.
Refurb my JDM fogs and install (or sell TBH)
Remove front reg plate holder and relocate plate
Refurb the grill I installed in the front bumper 10 years ago i.e. spray it satin black.
Stop lugging the spare around and make a new custom boot liner

So mostly small stuff, then just drive the bugger as much as I can

I read the first line and was half way out the door to drive to you and give you a slap!

Some nice little tidy up plans - they all make a difference. Chrome handles on my pre-facelift was one of the first mods and it made a nice subtle improvement inside.

Re: BsBB1 SMALL STUFF

Post by bennyboy » Fri Feb 01, 2013 9:43 am

Right, as above I want to get a few small TLC jobs done, thought I'd start be refurbing some rad brackets.

I'm afraid I didn't take a shot beforehand but suffice to say they looked pretty rough, rusty, flaky etc.
Put them through a sandblasting and:

They have cleaned up lovely, taken all traces of paint and rust off. I will now prime and spray, probably with black hammerite, pics to follow.

Incidentally, might be able to offer this service to forum members if they are interested and it's not stepping on anyone else' toes?
Would be items like lower control arms, brackets etc, let me know if you'd be up for it and I can work out some costs :)
