I don't think you should have had that sand blasted (if they actually use sand nowadays). Totally stripping the rivets off with a drill and removing all the covers to get to the nooks and crannies is the only was you can be sure to safely use that cover again. Not entirely sure how you would reattach the covers once you have done this either.

Ah bloody hell. Lol I've never seen known such a complicated cam cover. What is it all for? Do you know.
I tried using the nitromors but it was terrible left loads of paint in the corners and nooks and crannies

It's all part of the crankcase ventilation system, attempting to stop oil travelling onto the intake system, though does not actually do that good of a job really!
Old nitromors was perfect for this, but the new stuff's terrible. I'm sure there are a few old threads on here if you search for them with alternative paint strippers that do better jobs.
Soda blasting or other media that will dissolve would also be another option.

Ah right ok. So in that case then surely it can be blanked off? Or so etching. So if I rip all the bits out of the cam cover surely it won't effect much?
And I've already had this done nice mate. But I'll consider different things in the future now lol
