Inside bud at rear screen. Mines have done it too. Stupid rear washer jet seal goes an is almost impossible to get out.wurlycorner wrote:In the boot and in the footwell again is a pain.
When you say inside the high level brake light, do you mean inside the spoiler around the brake light, or actually inside the led bar?
Is it just the rear sunroof drains you've checked, or the front too?
Congratulations to vtecmec for winning May/June's Lude Of The Month, with his DIY Turbo BB1 build.

Re: 1991 4TH Gen JDM Si Vtec
ive resealed the rear washer jet 3 times - inside and out so cant be that - im thinking its sunroof related as there is a 3 inch gap in the sunroof frame seal and the inside of the roof at that point - with high winds or driving at speed in the rain some moisture could get pushed back towards that area and end up in the high level brake lamp casing.
newkid is right the rear washer jet is impossible to remove
i will also have to look at getting the sunroof panel shimmed & fitted perfectly as it does sit a tiny bit higher on one corner
im not giving up but i hate going back and doing a job again and again

4WS Tracking/Alignment
Finally got round to sorting out an issue with the car pulling to the left.
I had gone out late one night to help a friend who had a tyre blow out on the Motorway-taking him home on some twisty country roads in the pitch black i managed to hit a dead badger at the bottom of big dip - i checked under the car but couldnt see any obvious damage but months later ive had to replace the front upper arm and lower track rod end on the offside front so presume it did more damage than initally thought.
I Grabbed the 4ws locking pin and headed over to CLCM at Sighthill for 8am yesterdaY morning.
CLCM has moved to new larger premises just a couple of doors up from where they used to be.
The BB1 was up on the lift for a good hour and i could see it needed two technicians to make & nip up some of the adjustments. I had treated all the suspension components to a good soaking of release spray a couple of days beforehand.
Fairly pleased with the results car tracks true and straight and all castor, camber and toe is now within spec - although being a perfectionist i would have like more adjustment on some areas on the nearside side.
I still have the fully polybushed rear suspension to fit at later date (front was done last year) so the car will be gong back after that and i will be pushing for the ideal stock setup.
Cost was £55.
I also have solved an issue with an intermittent 02 sensor CEL on the dash by removing the aftermarket chipped ecu and refitting the OEM one. I cant say i felt any performance benefits from the performance chipped ecu so no loss at all in swapping it back.
Other areas need some attention as im now sure there is a problem with the throttle cable where it binds if i try and tighten it up at all - so currently there is huge amount of slack on the cable. Honda dont make the part and motorfactors cant help. I have however seen you can get new aftermarket ones from America so might have to go with that. In the meantime ive lubed everything up to keep it from binding and its acceptable for the short term.
I also had two spark plugs work loose with one nearly popping right out - thought for a minute the weird noise from the engine bay was bottom end knock but with some help from local luders identified the problem and got it sorted in the nick of time. I will be replacing all 4 spark plugs next week as a precaution.
Plenty of other stuff in the works but thats for the next update and hopefully by then i will have sorted out some 3rd party hosting and can post up some pics

Yep getting the tracking done is always money well spent imo
the 4ws locking pin i used is yours
but your not getting it back until youve paid me for the fujitsubo downpipe

Re: 1991 4TH Gen JDM - 4ws Tracking/Alignment

You brought it round so i could get a loan of it to get the tracking done - admittedly that was probably about a year ago

I never get as much done to the ludes as quickly as i would like

Facelift Parts
Ive been tripping over some panels and stuff that are lying around and finally decided its time to get them fitted
Facelift Bootlid with spoiler - i wont be connecting the brake light

panel has recently been repainted by previous owner
number plate is just for mock up
i will need to swap over the boot release cable, lock, number plate and plate holder
Facelift JDM chrome headlights

The other option is to refurb the black backed ones on the car but this takes time to do
I think the chrome headlights suit the darker 4th gens and hopefully they wont clash with the orange indicators below
what do you all think - facelift parts onto prefacelift is this a good move
