Good choice, I spent a while looking at kits and then just happened on a second hand AEM kit.

If you ask him really nicely...he'll probably say no. :P

You never know. How about hitting Mudgey up with a design?

Already sorted it with mudgy but he's way down in exetor and ideally needs to see the ludes jrsc setup.

Didn't Pete say he had a rough one made up?

How will you measure IATs with the oem sensor before the heat exchanger.

Exeter's not that far for cool IAT goodness! 8-)

No, the only intake he's annihilated for this chargcooler is the one I gave him.

Some of the work left amongst some welding and machining some faces flat ( a little heat distortion) is the addition of a IAT sensor port cut out of a spare intake manifold that Pete already had. Oh and a couple of vacuum/boost ports of course.

:( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :(

So i moved the oil catch can to under the throttle body. Looks much better hidden away.

Type S intake on with a bit of sturggle and i drilled into the box portion just after the filter to the PCV intake.

Made some air ducting to feed some colder air into the bumper section.

Yes that is a crack in the lips paint.

All in all this was a HUGE Mistake

I cannot feel any performance difference. Actually maybe a little more hesitant but pulls all the same.
But the noise of the supercharger has ALL GONE. You cannot hear it.
Whats the point in a supercharger if you cannot hear it whine away.

So im going top have to rethink the air intake idea and maybe move my original blox filter into the bumper area and use a couple of bent pipes.

I want my noise back.

So now i cannot sell the Type S intake because i have drilled into the box for PCV.

I put the blox intake back on.

Night and day difference.
Cars does perform better especially in the top end of vtec.
The noise it back too.

Also noticed the noise I thought was detonation is actually the rotors on the charger. I coukdnt hear them with the type S intake but they are back with the blox intake.

So short open intakes work on blower chargers. Just need a good cold air feed.

Plus water/meth.

its a real shame the type s intake don't work with the charger I don't know why it works n/a with the resonator removed and has great sound then?

It must be an easy fix to block the hole on the type s airbox so you can still sell it?
