Ben those seats look brilliant after the leather treatment! If you're going to remove the sex blocker and fit a facelift centre console, I believe I have the handbrake bits you'll need for the slight relocation..

I'm not sure I'll go the whole hog as I actually like the sex blocker and do find the facelift handbrake location a bit intrusive.
For now, talking to a guy about doing the SB lid in alcantara to match.

If I went over to facelift setup, with the handbrake over to the side.
Funny, was talking about your JDM/unusual centre console yesterday, were your ears burning?
That's probably what I would go for if anything, but will most likely stick with the pre-facelift setup I think.

I think there was a pre-facelift centre console that didn't have a sex blocker? Maybe you could look to tracking one of those down.

That said I think I'd rather keep the sex blocker in. You'd need to be a contortionist to put the back seat to any proper use even if it was a flat bench!

Yes, that's the one I mean, IIRC @newkid has it in his.
It has a slightly different front part and an armrest/cupholder that attaches to the back/top of it.

The sex blocker has never bothered me, I actually use it.
The only consideration is I could get a larger painting across the back seat for deliveries.
