Re: Ratty's Type S - Fingered fudging, blowers and goodyness
More updates. Been working on it over the last few weeks.
Nothing much done with the supercharger and still installing the water math injection.
But i have been doing more bodywork stuff.
But hear is the Hytech header all heatwrapped, stage 4 Competition clutch all installed and new upper N/S wishbone sorted.

I had some rust forming around the boot lock. Plus the flush spoiler had dug into the boot and started forming rust. Ill use sticky pad tape next time i put it on.

Bye bye rust

I though whilst im there i may aswell respray the rear bumper since it was a different shade from the rest of the car as i sprayed it before i changed/customized the pearlescent layers on my recent full respray.
Also may aswell spray my azect front eye lids i have had for years and my stonechipped front lip.

Just needs wetsanding now. But im doing the whole car again.
MORE TO COME HOLD ON!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wet sanding again.
In the heat of the hot summer last year my clearcoat shrank a bit after i had wet sanded it and cause some more orange peel. Not uncommon for fresh lacquer to do this when it hasnt been baked for long enough.
So time to wetsnad the whole car again except for the front bumper and bonnet spoiler. I still have tonnes of clearcoat to play with so i went at it with 1500 wet and dry.

Notice how the car is nice and matt. AFter this stage i washed it again and started polishing.
Polishing takes forever. At least 30-mins to a hour per panel to remove the sanding marks and paint correction. Im using 3m fast cut plus and lakecoutry purple wool pad to cut through it.
SOme before and afters.
