yeah but then the mods to make it fit/work can mean its possibly better going with a skunk2Drax wrote: you can pick up atr inlets cheaper.

Re: newbe member and my lude
I noticed when looking at the skunk2 intake that their are multiple size throttle bodies available. Upto 70 mm I'm not sure where to start really but thanks for the adviceThebusofwoe wrote:Oh yes. You have to remember that the H22 is a hungry engine because of its displacement. So the more air the better. Thats why the H22's respond so well to modifications. There is other options like the atr intake manifold but it req work to fit it. So ive now opted for the S2 intake as its easy and looks the part. Im currently running a ATR throttle body on the standard A2 intake (2mm bigger i think) and that made a noticeable difference imo.

I wouldnt go 70. Anything up to 68mm would be a good na size. 70 is for boost really.

i wouldnt say so, average £100 for an ATR inlet (or up to half that price if you keep an eye out) and £20-60 for someone to do a port match (and bigger tb port if required) to the common H22a head, £160 total - i doubt you'd find a 2nd hand skunk2 inlet mani for less than thatmercutio wrote:yeah but then the mods to make it fit/work can mean its possibly better going with a skunk2Drax wrote: you can pick up atr inlets cheaper.

Re: newbe member and my lude
Does the skunk inlet manifold fit directly on then with no modifications? Looking on the skunk site everything seems to be for h22a h22a1 and others but not the h22a2 which is what I have? Surely they would still fit on mine? They sell replacement rods too, what's the benefit of replacing the rods?Drax wrote:i wouldnt say so, average £100 for an ATR inlet (or up to half that price if you keep an eye out) and £20-60 for someone to do a port match (and bigger tb port if required) to the common H22a head, £160 total - i doubt you'd find a 2nd hand skunk2 inlet mani for less than thatmercutio wrote:yeah but then the mods to make it fit/work can mean its possibly better going with a skunk2Drax wrote: you can pick up atr inlets cheaper.
I need to come on the next meet, I've only been to one and that was over 2 years ago. I only really know a small hand full of people on here. Could do with putting more faces to names. Is there a lude meet on the cards soon?

I don't really want a turbo or supercharger I want to stay n/a so I'll get 60mm as a maximum.Thebusofwoe wrote:I wouldnt go 70. Anything up to 68mm would be a good na size. 70 is for boost really.

not sure if the skunk2 is a direct fit, but if the website says it is for a h22a, a1 then yeh it will fit your a2 exactly the same no problem. not sure about the rods, maybe mercutio may know..c_doughty1 wrote:Does the skunk inlet manifold fit directly on then with no modifications? 60mm is what your throttle body will be as standard, you get a 62mm on an h22a7, ha22a8 and type s intake manifold, so unless your going for a mega build of over 250BHP, 62mm is the max you need really.c_doughty1 wrote:I don't really want a turbo or supercharger I want to stay n/a so I'll get 60mm as a maximum.Thebusofwoe wrote:I wouldnt go 70. Re: newbe member and my lude
Right ok I'll get a 62mm then if that's what is best. I just want the most I can get without causing damage to the engine. I'd cry if I broke it.Drax wrote:not sure if the skunk2 is a direct fit, but if the website says it is for a h22a, a1 then yeh it will fit your a2 exactly the same no problem. not sure about the rods, maybe mercutio may know..c_doughty1 wrote:Does the skunk inlet manifold fit directly on then with no modifications?
