R.I.P ATTS & M2U4 you will be sorely missed & Welcome the Birth of Mfactory M2P4

The parts list

An ATTS half shaft conversion plate
Image

Torco Fluid and Hondabond as mfactory requires it.
Image

Mfactory 4.64 final drive because supercharger boost isnt enough
Image

Mfactory/Syncrotech SYN109e rebuild kit with carbon syncros etc
Image

Mfactory Helical Diff with the extra stage 1 racepack upgrade to increase torque bias from around 74%
Image

Image

Competition Clutchs Stage 2 clutch. Hopefully less extreme than the stage 4.
Image

Old Vs New. Performance Autoworks stripped it. Hot bathed it, deburred the selectors etc Brand new 5th Gen selector and good condition 2nd hand 5th Gear as the m2p4s one i got was fooked.
Note the M2P4 Gearbox uses the same short ratios as the u2q7 in the accord minus the diff.
Image

Needed for the ATTS conversion is standard 5th Gen intermediate shaft and passenger drive shaft.
I got both Driveshafts from Rob Quilter. Excellent condition and its lucky i did as my CV joints were buggered. Some play in them.

THe half shaft needs cutting as so to fit. Job done.

After

Well hello space behind the engine. How nice.

On a side note. ATTS unit weights around 20-30kg (ill get propper weights tomorrow. Cooling pipes are 2kg to the rad. And the M2U4 gearbox was noticable heavier by a couple of kilos.

Weight saving right there.

Car isnt finished. Will be done tomorrow, my brother in law and work colleague take many fag breaks which slows the pace. Will report ATTS vs LSD later this week after braking the box and clutch in.

Shame to take the Atts out of the Type S, but U still have "active brakes" right, which weren't available on standard UK models. So it still makes sense.. This will be interesting.

Active abs will get disabled as it uses ATTS to work. Got a standard abs ecu to go in.

Awesome stuff! The 6.64 final drive is one of my favourite mods.
