Good that it passed and that the issue on the driver's rear didn't make it fail.

The power steering belt decided to fall apart the other day. Fortunately some of it held together enough to get me home.
So new ps belt and new accessory belt fitted.
Gates Micro V 4PK1020 for power steering.
and
Gates Micro V 6PK1043 for alternator/air con.
Note: use same belts for 5th gen

Both belts were around £15/each.
Also fitted oem pulley to new alternator.
Cleaned up fuel lines at the back of the car and all is good there.

After doing a shed load of work on the lude it just about blew up on the outside lane of the M8 motorway.
Timing went out as the distributor got fouled up by the screw that holds the rotor shaft coming loose and caused all sorts of damage.
Fortunately for me there was stationary traffic on the motorway so I had slowed down to almost a dead stop. I thought the H22a would be toast but no damage was done. I also discovered the catalytic convertor was damaged and mostly blocked as the honeycomb medium had melted. This was easily sorted by removing the contents of the cat and then refitting it.
So the car survived all this and now has a few extra bhp.
On the down side the exhaust is a little bit louder and there is a bit of a whiff of vpower from under the car so i may have to check the mani to downpipe gasket - a common failure point with fujitsubo super ex basis manifold.
In the last week I removed both the delimiter chip at the ecu and the speed convertor chip at the clocks (with help from merlin and newkid).
And today I fitted a new set of non-el dials - these are quite unusual as the show both mph and km. I found the old dials had the 4ws bulb removed so nice to get that working again and no issue with 4ws.
Next up is to fit the spoon v2 chip to the P13 4 plug tcs ecu.
see pic below of 4 plug ecu with oem A6 chip
