got the old bootlid back on - with no spoiler (the way it left the factory)
it does alter the look of the car - i think in a good way.
Happy with the clean look from the back - no rear wiper/no spoiler/no external fog light
Goes well with oem twin pipe backbox.
Next job is to fix the wing miorrors - bought one on ebay but guy emailed me today to say he had already sold it
so still looking for passenger side jdm folding wing mirror in phantom grey or black.

No worries - the seller you mentioned said he had them but wanted to sell as pair which I agreed to and then it was just waiting for shipping cost. He said he was ill and would get back to me - that was 3 weeks ago. So went and bought another one off ebay and this other seller then advised he had already sold it so sale was cancelled. Resorted to fixing one of the spare ones I had which took loads of time - fitted it and it doesnt work.

My folding mirrors started spazzing out last year, turns out the control box (in the passenger door) needed the solder joints reflowing to fix it. Are you sure its the mirror unit?

The mirror adjust works ok - its just the folding that doesn't work
I have a spare set of control boxes so will give that a go
I am also planning on doing some interior work:
remove sex blocker and fit new centre console
remove dsp and fit working stereo

mysteriously the wing mirror folding mechanism seems to be working again sort of - will have a look at replacing the control box in the passenger door in the near future.
today was about replacing the sexblocker centre console and fitting a working cd player. The sexblocker got damaged when i was transporting a set of alloys in the back seat and tbh im fed up with centre console - it may look good but is not practical for me as it hinders the use of the back seats etc - I was given an old cd player and low rise centre console out of merlins BA8 and fitted them earlier on.

Next job is to fit summer alloys - i traded my gold race line 17" alloys to get my old set of rota slipstream 15"s back so plan is to fit them
