Track Car 1993 Prelude jdm bb1 2.2vtec
That's a bit brave- especially considering you will have a harder time warming the rear tyres up...vtectom wrote:Haha! Actually still want to take off power-steering but it will have to wait.
Yep, 1st time on A048's in Prelude but I've driven an Elise with them & they felt
great![]()
This might sound mad but I'm going to try with A048's on the front & Prada spec 2's
on the rear. Hoping it will give better turn-in, but if it's REALLY oversteery then I've
got some spare wheels with R888's to swop with.
Can't you lose more weight outta the back to make it turn-in better- battery, bootlid hinges (go to pins/springs), any more of the gubbins behind where the rear bench normally lives?

I'll take it steady & build up slowly, til I get a feeling whether it's working how I want or not.
I used to do the same on my eg civic.

Already running some toe out.
I'm just too fussy. Every one who's driven the car says it's very well balanced
I thought my friend's race Caterham
felt too understeery

So here is my alignment print-out. Can't lower the car more at the front as then won't
clear the speed-bumps that circuits insist on having as you drive in!
Thinking of raising the rear slightly as may aid turn-in.
Any thoughts?

Snetterton Track-day.
So, road tyres on rear & A048's on front didn't work, especially
on a damp track
As soon as the fronts got a bit of heat in them, the rears let go
& very suddenly with no hope of avoiding a spin.
So then put my DC2 alloys on the back with Federal RS-R's & the car was
transformed, & the balance was really adjustable on the throttle
Looks a bit pants though

Here's a quick video catching a 911 that then spun off in front of me!

Big Thanks to 4thgen Phil for turning up.
I will post some more videos when my wife isn't giving me 'dagger-eyes'
